World marathons, greenway runs + SCUBA diving. Michelle has a lot of race experiences. See her favorites + more below:
Occupation: Pharmacist with a long term care pharmacy.... I am the Director of Pharmacy Operations at Servant Pharmacy in Raleigh.
Favorite Place to Run in the Triangle: Somewhere different all the time! I love Raleigh's wealth of trails, but it's hard to resist Shelley Lake and the greenway just a mile from my house. Of course, the nOg runs on Monday rank right up there as well.
Favorite Race/Event: Tough question! I'm going to have to break this out into two categories.... most fun and best atmosphere. Most fun is a tie between the Goofy Challenge which I ran with a group of 4 friends and the Palmetto 200 relay race. Best atmosphere.... BOSTON hands down! There's nothing quite like running 26.2 into Beantown! The chest crushing cheers of the BC students and the crowds down Commonwealth Avenue is something I'll never forget.
Hobbies: Traveling, SCUBA diving, skiing, cooking and photography. It's hard to catch me without my Canon in tow.
Favorite Food: sushi and great wine. (Yes, I do count wine as a food group... I consider it a fruit!)
Favorite Running Shoe: My love is shared between my Mizuno Wave Creation and Prophecy
One Thing Most People Don't Know About Me: I think about my Dad with every marathon I run and know the pain I go through is nothing compared to the battle he fought with cancer. I always know he's proudly cheering me to the finish line... and I blow him a kiss each time I complete 26.2.
3 Things on my "Bucket List:" Run the 5 world major marathons (I'll have 3 by the end of the year if all goes as planned), make a trip to Palau and cage dive with great whites.
Cage diving?! What's on your "bucket list?"
